To make it easy to spread the word, the Nebraska Cancer Coalition has prepared several social media posts and graphics with facts and information on the campaign. The graphics include images, profile images and cover photos for either Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. It’s as easy as click, download and share. There are also web codes that you can copy to place a badge on your website.

Click to save and upload the image as your Facebook or Twitter profile image.

Download #thebedisdead power point presentation to share facts and statistics about skin cancer and tanning beds with your school or organization. This presentation also outlines the many ways others can get involved with the campaign.

Public Relations
Download and update the press release template to send to local TV stations, radio stations, newspapers and schools. The press release will need to be updated with the following, according to your location:
- Date, city and state (first paragraph)
- Organization or school name (third paragraph)
- Quote from local dermatologist, organization executive, school administrator, or any other representative promoting the campaign
Policy Samples
Want to make a change? Create a policy in your school or organization. The following are a few examples of policies schools or organizations can implement:
- Policy banning student athletes and team members from indoor tanning before competitions
- Policy banning tanning in certain organizations (example: leadership of student council decides to adopt by-laws that prohibit elected members from indoor tanning)
